Two legends of Indian cricket, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made their return to Vijay Hazare Trophy after a long. It has been more than a decade since Virat Kohli last played a Vijay Hazare match. Both
the superstars did not disappoint as they slammed centuries for their respective teams. Both Delhi and Mumbai were bowling first and fans had to wait for Rohit and Kohli's turn with the bat.
Chasing a modest total of 237 against Sikkim, Rohit Sharma led Mumbai’s run chase with a superb century, as he reached 109 off 67 balls, studded with eight sixes and 10 fours. He added 141 runs for the opening wicket with Angkrish Raghuvanshi (38), laying a solid platform for the chase in Jaipur. Rohit Sharma showed all his power as he raced to a 62-ball ton with Mumbai on their way to a coasting victory. He later converted that and went on to score 150 and helped Mumbai chase down the target.
During this knock, Kohli also became the fastest to score 16000 runs in men's List A cricket. He went past 16000 run mark in just 320 List A innings beating Sachin Tendulkar who achieved the milestone in 391 List A innings.

For Rohit, this was his second-ever century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and his fastest ton in Lisa A cricket, bettering his 63-ball ton against Afghanistan in the ODI World Cup 2023. Rohit’s last Vijay Hazare Trophy appearance was in the 2018-19 season’s semis when he scored 17. His only other century in Vijay Hazare Trophy was against Tamil Nadu in 2008, when he had scored 100 off 89 balls.
Delhi were set a target of 298 by Andhra and lost Arpit Rana cheaply in the chase. In came Virat Kohli who scored at a very solid rate to take control of a tricky chase with a quality half-century. Priyansh Arya also scored 74. Once Priyansh was dismissed, Virat Kohli took it to himself and slammed a century as Delhi are on their way to beat Andhra. Virat Kohli’s innings was filled with magnificent strokeplay smashing boundaries at will.
