Netizens didn’t mince their words and brutally trolled the Delhi Capitals as they were reduced to 33/3 within five overs. Fans witnessed a Northern Derby as the Capitals were hosted by the Punjab Kings in the 55th league-stage clash of IPL 2026 in Dharamsala on Monday, May 11. The Kings, who once led the league, were coming off a three-game losing skid, and were desperately seeking a win. On the other hand, the Delhi-based franchise has had an on-and-off season thus far and they were off two successive losses.

The game saw visiting skipper, Axar Patel, win the toss and invited the rivals to put the score on the board first. The Punjab-based side, rode high on Priyansh Arya and skipper Shreyas Iyer’s respective 50s and posted 210 runs with the loss

of five wickets. In response, Delhi got off to an embarrassing start and were reduced to 33/3 within five overs. KL Rahul and Abhishek Porel were forced to walk back on nine and five runs, respectively while Sahil Parakh was caught out at 13 (6).

However, Tristan Stubbs and skipper Patel seemed to have held the team at the time of writing.
