The day has finally come where the defending Asia Cup champions, Team India will lock horns with Pakistan for the title glory at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, September 28.
The Men in Blue, who are unbeaten so far in the tournament, will be riding high on confidence as they have already beaten Pakistan twice in the continental event thus far.
As the previous two games between India and Pakistan have been marred with several controversies, the finale too has been amidst the same. In a notable move, on the eve of the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai, the two captains were set to undertake a pre-final photoshoot, but the Indian captain reportedly refused. While it remains to be a customary act, but the Indian captain’s refusal has risen several eyebrows.

Later on, the Pakistan captain, Salman Ali Agha was also inquired of the same while addressing the press conference. Although, he tried to maintain a diplomatic stance, stating that it was entirely up to the team whether to attend or not. “They can do whatever they want, we will just follow the protocol. It is completely his call, whether he wants to come or not. I can't do anything in that,” Salman Agha said.
Speaking of the rivalry, although India remains to be clear favourites to lift the title, Pakistan boast of a better head-to-head record when it comes to the finale clashes. Although, India have defeated their arch-rivals twice so far in the ongoing tournament, the Men in Green will walk to avenge their defeats, hoping to secure the title.
