Lionel Messi, one of the greatest footballers of all-time, has reportedly agreed to sign a contract extension with the Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami, to continue playing club football at least until the end of 2026. The current contract of the 38-year-old with Inter Miami, reportedly worth $150 million, which was signed in the summer of 2023, is due to expire at the end of the year after the conclusion of the ongoing MLS 2025 season in the USA.
Notably, during his current stint at Inter Miami, Lionel Messi has won the Leagues Cup 2023 and the Supporters’ Shield 2024 titles, scoring 62 goals in 75 matches for the club in all competitions, as of this writing. Over the last couple of years or so, the Argentine has taken the revenue
