MIthan Manhas emerged as the front runner to replace Roger Binny and become the next President of the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India). The former cricketer from Jammu has filed the nomination

and could be seen taking chair as the new BCCI President. The 45-year-old didn’t get a single chance to play for the Indian team, but he has been a prominent name in domestic cricket over the years.

Mithun Manhas was born in Jammu October 12, 1979 and has played domestic cricket for Delhi. With over 9000 First-Class runs and more than 4000 runs in the List A cricket, Manhas has been a constant performer in domestic cricket. Apart from that, he has also played for franchises like Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals), Chennai Super Kings, and Pune Warriors in his career in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2008 from 2014.

Mithun Manhas started his IPL career in the inaugural season of the tournament in 2008 after he was picked by Delhi Daredevils. He played three seasons with Delhi before Pune Warriors India acquired his services ahead of IPL 2011. He spent another three years with Pune and was picked by Chennai Super Kings ahead of IPL 2014.
