The Royal Challengers Bengaluru is set to mark their 18th anniversary in the game against the Delhi Capitals at the Chinnaswamy today. They will be donning the green jersey today and this will be their 100th match at the venue. The Chinnaswamy Stadium has been one of the most iconic venues in the league and it has hosted many historic matches. The atmosphere in the stadium has been absolutely electric in every game and the fans simply love coming to the stadium.
RCB played their first match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 18th,2008. They are the first team in the IPL to play 100 matches at a venue and also the number 18 is indeed a special number for the side. Their most celebrated player, Virat Kohli wears the jersey number 18 and RCB won

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been in excellent touch in this season as they have won 4 games so far.Virat Kohli and Phil Salt have dictated the power play in most of the games and their control over the innings is highly rated. The form of Rajat Patidar is also a huge plus for the side as the captain has led from the front. His intent seems to be clear from ball one as he tries to hit maximum boundaries with minimum balls faced. The power hitting of Tim David was well displayed in the game against CSK and he is able to find the boundaries with ease. Jitesh Sharma has shown some flicker of hope with his innings against the Lucknow Super Giants. The batting depth that the side possesses is better than almost any squad in the tournament as when the batting collapsed at 92/6 against the Rajasthan Royals, they still managed to cross the 200-run mark.
They had certain concerns around the bowling department as their was a delay in the arrival of Josh Hazlewood and Nuwan Thushara was denied NOC. Josh Hazlewood has returned to the starting squad as he announced his arrival against the Lucknow Super Giants with a Player of the Match award. They also had worries regarding their 3rd seamer as Abhinandhan Singh didn’t prove to be a viable option. But now with the arrival of Rasikh Salam, that area has been covered as he picked up 5 wickets in the last 2 games. Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma have been exceptionally good with the ball as they have managed to limit the flow of runs and scalp crucial wickets.
