After the Australia tour, the Indian team will now take on South Africa in an all-format series, starting with two-match Test series beginning on November 14. The first Test of the series will be played
at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 14 to 18. Ahead of the much-awaited Test series against South Africa, the Indian team led by Shubman Gill has landed in Kolkata for the first Test.
In a viral video on social media by Star Sports, the Indian players including the likes of Head Coach Gautam Gambhir, skipper Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Nitish Kumar Reddy and others can be seen coming outside the Kolkata airport. The first Test will start on November 14 and the Indian team is likely to start their practice soon.

Shubman Gill to aim second Test series win in his captaincy
India are scheduled to play two Test matches against South Africa, starting on November 14. This will be India’s third Test series in Shubman Gill’s captaincy. The 26-year-old was appointed captain ahead of the five-match Test series in England. He had an impressive outing in his first series as captain as they levelled it 2-2.
After that, India hosted West Indies for a two-match Test series in October where Gill registered his first Test series win as captain as India defeated the Windies by 2-0 margin. Now, Gill will be looking to add another Test series in his bag as captain and help India to get ahead in the points table of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.
