WATCH: Rohit Sharma returns to nets; trains at MCA ground ahead of South Africa ODI series

With the eyes now set on the T20 World Cup, set to be played in India and Sri Lanka in February-March 2026, the world champions will hope to continue their prime form. After the conclusion of the white-ball

series against Australia which saw the hosts win the ODI series by 2-1 margin whereas the Indian team avenged it with a 2-1 series win in T20I, the Men in Blue will next host South Africa in a multi-format series.

The tour comprises of two Test matches, followed by three ODIs and five T20Is, starting from November 14. While the series will once again see the return of veterans including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the former has already begun is preparations. It is to be noted that Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 121 in India’s nine-wicket win against Australia in third ODI in Sydney and also stitched an unbeaten 168-run stand with Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma resumes training in nets ahead of South Africa ODI series

With the three-match ODI series staring from November 30 in Ranchi, former India skipper Rohit Sharma returned to the nets and resumed his practice. In the videos going viral on social media, Rohit Sharma was spotted jogging along the lines of the field at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) ground in BKC along with a quick chatting session with friends and trainers.

He was spotted donning a blue Adidas t-shirt, a pair of grey shorts with black shoes and aviators on. He also had a quick batting session in the nets.
