Skipper Shreyas Iyer and Priyansh Arya went on to become star performers as India A posted a massive total in the first unofficial ODI against Australia A at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. After Prabhsimran
became the first centurion of the day by reaching the milestone in 82 balls, Iyer stole the show with his hundred in just 75 balls as India A posted a massive 413 runs for the loss of six wickets in their 50 overs.
Coming to bat first after losing the toss, India A got a great start as Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran put up an opening partnership of 135 runs in 20.3 overs. Prabhsimran got out after scoring 56 runs off 53 balls hitting six fours and two sixes. After that, Iyer joined Priyansh at the the duo added 40 more runs before the loss of the second wicket. Arya completed his hundred in just 82 balls and got out after 101 runs off 84 balls hitting 11 fours and five sixes.
Riyan Parag and Ayush Badoni smashed 50s after Shreyas Iyer’s captain’s knock
After Priyansh Arya’s dismissal, skipper Shreyas Iyer took charge of the innings for India A and put up a partnership of 132 runs for the first third wicket. Parag got out after a well-made 67(42) with five fours and five sixes. After that, Ayush Badoni joined Iyer at the crease as the duo added 73 runs for the fourth wicket. Iyer completed his hundred in just 75 balls and got out after scoring 110 runs off 83 balls hitting 12 fours and four sixes.
After that, Ayush Badoni went on to score a quickfire 50 runs off just 27 balls hitting four fours and three sixes as India A crossed the 400-run mark. Now, Australia A need 414 runs to win the first unofficial ODI and take a lead of 1-0 in the series.
