Shoaib Malik headed for third divorce; set to part ways with Sana Javed: Reports

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik is reportedly heading for the third divorce, set to part ways with his current wife Sana Javed. Malik hit the headlines in January 2024 for announcing his marriage

with actress Sana Javed. Malik parted ways with his second wife Sania Mirza, who opted for Khula from the Pakistan cricketer. Both Malik and Mirza were married for 14 years and they also have a son named Izhaan. The relationship between Malik and Javed became the talk of the town and there were also assumptions that both started their relationship during the star cricketer’s marriage with Sania. However, the two renowned Pakistani figures didn’t address the rumours.

Almost after 20 months of their marriage, media reports are now emerging that their relationship is going through a tumultuous phase and they are heading for a divorce. In a viral video on social media, Shoaib Malik can be seen signing autographs while his wife is maintaining distance from him. Noting this incident, the divorce news between the two has emerged. As per Pakistan’s media house Siasat, the divorce news between Shoaib and Sana is yet to be confirmed as there has neither been confirmation and nor denial from the other party.

Shoiab Malik’s international career for Pakistan

Shoaib Malik played international cricket for Pakistan for 22 years from 1999 to 2021 and during this period, he played 446 matches in his national team’s jersey. He also captained Pakistan from 2007 to 2009. Under his leadership, Pakistan concluded their T20 World Cup 2007 campaign as runners-up.

Malik’s last match for Pakistan came against Bangladesh in a T20I game held in Mirpur. The 43-year-old hasn’t announced his retirement from international cricket and he is still active in league cricket. This year, he served Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League 2025.
