After winning the toss and deciding to bat first in Group A clash against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav was asked by Ravi Shastri about the changes in the playing XI at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The 35-year-old confirmed that one of the two changes in the Indian side is the inclusion of Harshit Rana, but when it came down to naming the second change, he wasn’t able to remember it one bit.
It ultimately led to Suryakumar Yadav giving a hilarious take on his inability to not remember the playing XI of India, stating that “I have become like Rohit (Sharma)” his teammate, who is known for forgetting things time and again. Shastri quipped at Yadav whether the second change was the inclusion of Morne
Morkel, the bowling coach hailing from South Africa, to ease up the Indian captain before sending him on his way to do final preparations for the Asia Cup 2025 match.
