BBL 2025- Hobart Hurricanes win Title for the first time
Mitchell Owen’s 42-ball 108 took Hobart Hurricanes past the finish line against Sydney Thunder in the Final and secured a maiden Big Bash League (BBL) title for the side at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
The opener’s knock, that included 11 maximums — the most by a Hobart batter in an innings, guided the home side to 185 in the 15th over with seven wickets in hand. It was an epic chase and finally after a long wait Hobart Hurricanes side managed to get the silver ware.

WTC 2025 – Temba Bavuma leads South Africa to glory
South Africa have broken the jinx of winning an ICC tournament in 2025. The team finally won an ICC trophy after 27 years – only their second ICC title – after beating Australia by five wickets on Saturday at the iconic. Chasing 282 to win, captain Temba Bavuma led from the front and Aiden Markram scored a scintillating century as they managed to win the World Test Championship Title.
Women’s World Cup 2025: India Women script history
The Indian Women’s cricket team scripted history in 2025, producing one of the most remarkable comebacks the game has ever witnessed to clinch their maiden ICC Women’s World Cup title. From being written off midway through the tournament to lifting the trophy, it was a year that redefined belief, resilience and Indian women’s cricket.
India Women suffered defeats to Australia, England and South Africa Women in the group stage. They finished fourth and qualified for Semi Finals. India Women beat Australia Women in the SF and then went on to beat South Africa in the Final to win their first ever Women’s World Cup. Harmanpreet Kaur led team sent joy to the entire nation in 2025.
