Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 11 runs in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 match played in Dubai, to secure their place in the final of the tournament against India. Earlier, Bangladesh stand-in captain Jaker Ali
won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. The Men in Green struggled in the initial stage of the game as they could score only 27 runs in the powerplay after losing their top-order batters Sahibzada Farhan (4 off 4) and Saim Ayub (0 off 3) early. Pakistan veteran Fakhar Zaman also failed to hold his nerves in the crunch situation and departed after scoring 13 off 20. Captain Salman Ali Agha could score only 19 off 23.
Riding on the courageous batting efforts from Mohammad Haris (31 off 23), Shaheen Shah Afridi (19 off 13), and Mohammad Nawaz (25 off 15), Pakistan reached a total of 135/8 in their 20-over quota. Taskin Ahmed was the most successful bowler for the Bangla side as the veteran speedster picked up 3/28 figures in his four-over spell. Spinners Rishad Hossain and Mahedi Hasan got two wickets each while Mustafizur Rahman also got one wicket after completing his four overs.
