After clinching the Asia Cup 2025 title just over a week ago in Dubai, the Indian cricket team is hosting West Indies at home for a two-match Test series. While the first Test, which was played at the Narendra
Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2, saw the hosts register a commanding win by an inning and 140-run margin and take a 1-0 lead in the series.
As the two teams now head to Delhi, where the second Test will be played from October 10 to 14, the Shubman Gill-led side will hope to whitewash the visitors. As the two prepares in Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium ahead of the second Test, the Men in Blue will reportedly spend some time off the cricket field.
Gautam Gambhir likely to host Team India in Delhi ahead of second Test
According to sources, the Indian Test team will attend an afternoon training session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on October 8. Following the practice, the players and support staff will head directly to head coach Gautam Gambhir’s residence for the dinner. While this aims as a team bonding session before a gruelling cricketing calendar ahead for the home side.
Notably, after the conclusion of the Test series, the Indian team will travel to Australia for a white-ball series consisting of three ODIs and five T20Is. While the series will commence from October 19 with the ODI leg, the five-match T20I series will be played from October 29 to November 8.
