Team India thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets in the Asia Cup 2025 Group A match played in Dubai. In the reigning champions’ one-sided victory, Kuldeep Yadav and Suryakumar Yadav made crucial contributions. In the first innings, Kuldeep Yadav registered 3/18 figures in his four-over spell and played an instrumental role in restricting the Green Army on 127/9 in their 20 overs. Pursuing the target, India got a remarkable start from their opener Abhishek Sharma, who notched up a quick 31 off 13. After the opener’s departure, captain Suryakumar’s job was to stand in the middle and help the team cross the line.
The Indiaskipper played his part well as he helped the team complete the chase with his unbeaten 47 off 37 alongside Shivam Dube. Defending
champions pulled off the target with 25 deliveries left to bowl in the match. Following the scintillating win, when Suryakumar attended the post-match presentation, he dedicated the victory to the Indian Armed Forces and the families of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
He said, “We stand by the victims of the families of Pahalgam terror attack. We express our solidarity. We want to dedicate today's win to all our Armed Forces who showed a lot of bravery. Hope they continue to inspire us all and we give them more reasons on the ground whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile.”

India became the first team to reach the Super 4 round in Asia Cup 2025
With this win, India have now become the first side to advance to the Super 4 round. They will play their last group game against Oman in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
The Men in Blue are now in the top of Group A’s points table, with four points earned through two off two triumphs. Pakistan will need to defeat the UAE to secure their passage through to the next round of the competition.
