Team India are currently hosting West Indies in a two-match Test series. While the home side claimed the opening Test by an inning and 140-run margin, the second Test is underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. For the unversed, India won the toss and elected to bat first, posting 518/5 runs before declaring their innings.
They then put the visitors to bat first, who have put 217/8 at lunch on Day 3 of the ongoing Test and trail India by 301 runs. While they posted 140 runs at stumps on Day 2, they have added 77 runs in the first session of the third day, having lost four more wickets. While the wickets fell in quick succession on day 2, starting with John Campbell’s wicket, courtesy Sai Sudharsan’s quick reflex catch.
Sai Sudharsan “doing fine”: BCCI Medical Team
While the catch at short
leg left Sudharsan in visible pain, he was forced to walk of the field. While it not only brought in concerns in the dressing room, Sudharsan did not take the field on Day 3 as a precautionary measure. The BCCI Medical Team confirmed that the injury is not serious, and Sai Sudharsan is “doing fine” while he continues to be monitored.
