Lamine Yamal has been the talk of the town for some time now following yet another successful season at FCBarcelona. The 18-year-old Spanish winger has registered an outstanding feat this season scoring
a total of 18 goals and providing 21 assists in 55 competitive appearances for FC Barcelona. He played a massive role in leading FC Barcelona to a domestic treble in the previous campaign.
In the most prestigious award ceremony of the year, the Ballon d’Or2025, the last two men standing to win the Golden Ball for their outstanding performance throughout the year were Lamine Yamal and the 28-year-old French international, Ousmane Dembele for PSG. The stakes were high at the Theatre Du Chatelet in Paris where it was France's very own Ousmane Dembele who won the prestigious award for the first time in his career. Lamine Yamal was seen congratulating Dembele on his Golden Ball victory following the ceremony. In an interview following the ceremony, FC Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick stated that, “It's a motivation for him in the coming years, and Lamine takes it positively”.

The former German head coach believes that Lamine Yamal is a generational talent who is yet to unleash his maximum potential. He further added that, “He will have chances to win the Ballon d’Or, for sure.” The Spanish international who has already started the La Liga season with a bang by scoring two goals and providing three assists will be looking to have another successful season at Barcelona.
The 18-year-old has completed more dribbles than any other player in the top five leagues in all competitions (262) in the previous campaign. Yamal will be rearing to prove himself again and win the Ballon d’Or next season.
