India are taking on arch–rivals Pakistan in the ongoing final of the Asia Cup 2025 at Dubai International Stadium. Coming to bat first after losing the toss, Pakistan are heading towards a good total in the title
clash against India. During Pakistan’s innings, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav appealed against Pakistani captain Suryukumar Yadav for obstructing the field.
During the 16th over of the innings, Axar Patel bowled an outside off length against Salman Ali Agha to which the Pakistani batter replied with a drive towards extra cover. Suryakumar dived towards his left to stop the ball and Salman stole a single cleverly. While running for a second, Salman got hit by a throw by Suryakumar Yadav. After Salman came in the way, Suryakumar appealed for obstructing the field and the decision was taken to the third umpire. However, the Pakistani captain was not given out.
Pakistani suffer collapse great start by the openers
Talking about the match, Pakistan got a great start as the opening duo of Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman added 84 runs for the first wicket in 8.4 overs. Farhan got out after scoring 57 runs off 38 balls hitting five fours and three sixes, while Fakhar scored 46 runs off 35 balls with two fours and two sixes. However, after the partnership was broken, Pakistan’s batting order completely collapsed.
Varun Chakaravarthy ended up clearing both the openers as India were back in the game. After that, Kuldeep Yadav turned out to be a star performer with the figures 4/30 in his four overs as Pakistan were bowled out for 146 runs in 19 overs. Along with Varun and Kuldeep, Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah.
