On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown from Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, Drew McIntrye got suspended from WWE. Nick Aldis, the SmackDown General Manager, made the call after
the Scottish Warrior inserted himself in the match of WWE Champion Cody Rhodes against Aleister Black in the main event of the show, causing it to end in a no-contest probably.
Earlier, Cody Rhodes kicked off WWE SmackDown by saying that he is moving on from Drew McIntyre after defeating him twice for the WWE Championship. It led to Aleister Black, accompanied by Zelina Vega, interputting him before the latter slapped the American Nightmare across the face which led to Nick Aldis putting the two superstars in a non-title match in the main event of the blue brand this week.
Drew McIntyre hit referee Dan Engler with Claymore kick on SmackDown
Cody Rhodes and Aleister Black were in the midst of a competitive match on SmackDown and when both men were down and out, referee Dan Engler was administering a standing 10 count before he ate a thunderous Claymore kick out of nowhere from Drew McIntyre. It led to Rhodes getting double-teamed by McIntyre and Black before Damian Priest made the save.
When Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest cleared out the ring, leaving Drew McIntyre seething on the outside, Nick Aldis made his way to the entrance ramp to inform the latter about his suspension from WWE. It led to McIntyre heading to the entrance ramp to meet Aldis face-to-face, talking about how everyone is against him but the SmackDown GM was having none of it.
After WWE SmackDown went off the air, Drew McIntyre continued his argument with Nick Aldis backstage before other officials came around and told him to make his way out of the building.
