Young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal recently appeared on a podcast with Raj Shamani on YouTube. In the podcast, the 23-year-old opened up about his past struggles and challenges while pursuing his cricketing
career and also talked about his aim as an international cricketer. While speaking with Raj, Jaiswal said that he wants to prolong his cricketing career and also wants to become the captain of the Indian team in the future.
“Currently, I am focusing a lot on my fitness. I am learning more about my body as I feel that with time, I need to be fitter and need to work more on my skills,” Jaiswal said. “Every day I have to work on myself to evolve myself into a leader. One day, I want to be a captain,” he further added.

Speaking further, Yashasvi Jaiswal also mentioned about his aggression on the field and how he balances it to bring out what is best for the team. Jaiswal also revealed that he applauds himself and gets motivated to work harder to proceed further.
“I speak to myself for 10-15 minutes, and it helps me a lot. Whenever I perform good, I don’t miss a chance to applaud myself and prepare to proceed further,” Jaiswal said.
“I have aggression, but at that time, I consider what’s important for my team. I don’t want to get lost in my aggression. ok“Aggression is very important for me, but you shouldn’t show it. There is a slight difference between confidence and overconfidence,” he further added.
Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently in action in the ongoing home Test series against West Indies. The second Test match of the series will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from October 10 to 14. Jaiswal is also included in the Indian ODI squad for the upcoming ODI series inn Australia starting on October 19.
