Sanju Samson to lead Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2026: Report
As per claims from RevSportz journalist Rohit Juglan, Sanju Samson is in talks with Delhi Capitals (DC) for IPL 2026. “I came to know about Sanju Samson during the Asia Cup 2025. I talked to some people, and there were discussions between Samson and Delhi Capitals not just about him as a player but also about him as a captain,” said Juglan on his YouTube channel.
This year, DC failed to qualify for the playoffs under Axar Patel’s captaincy. With seven wins and six losses in 14 matches, Capitals concluded their campaign in the fifth spot on the tally. Discussing Samson’s performances in IPL 2025, he has scored 285 runs with a fifty in nine matches at a strike rate of 140.39. Following the release of England veteran Jos Buttler from RR in 2024, Samson was unhappy with the Royals’ team management. However, the wicket-keeper batter was retained for INR 18 crore by the Royals before IPL 2025.
