The Australian cricket team is currently hosting India in a white-ball series comprising of three ODIs and as many as five T20Is. However, the home team won the ODI series by 2-1 margin, with the T20I leg
underway, they sit 1-0 up in the series with three more games to go. On Friday, October 31, the Mitchell Marsh-led men beat the T20 champions by four wickets at the MCG in Melbourne after a washout in series opener.
As the series moves ahead, the Australian side will see a couple of changes as the Test side prepares for the highly-anticipated Ashes series, starting November 21 in Perth. While the team from Down Under will be without star pacer Josh Hazlewood now in the T20I series, Travis Head is also mulling to withdraw.
Travis Head likely to withdraw from T20I series to prepare for Ashes
A report from CodeSports stated that with the Ashes less than a month away, players wish to start their preparations early. As a result, Head is mulling to pull out of the last two T20Is, set to be played on November 6 and 8 in Gold Coast and Brisbane respectively. It so happens, Matthew Short is set to replace Head up the order.
