Australian batting star Cameron Green became a subject to fans’ wrath after he failed to perform against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2026. The Kolkata Knight Riders were up against the five-time champions
at the latter’s home, Chepauk in Chennai on Tuesday. The game saw visiting skipper Ajinkya Rahane winning the toss and inviting the rivals to put the score on the board first. The hosts rode on Sanju Samson’s 48 and Dewald Brevis’ 41 to post a modest 192 at the loss of five wickets.
In return, the three-time winners started slow, but the Yellow Army, who finally registered their first win of the season in the last game, were in no mood to let go of the game at home. They got their first success in the form of Finn Allen’s wicket, and then wickets kept falling for the Purple brigade. However, their most expensive purchase, priced at INR 25.20 crore, Cameron Green was expected to get the side to some stability, once again failed to perform. Green was dismissed at duck off a Noor Ahmad’s delivery.
Notably, Green hasn’t been able to deliver much in the current season and has managed to post the highest score of 32 in the current season. Even with the ball, he couldn’t pick any wicket against CSK on Tuesday.
