While the recent introduction which took away the the internet by a storm with it becoming a law in just four days’ time, this step left the Indian cricket team end ties with their lead sponsor and terminate the contract with Dream11 with still a year left in the deal. As a result, the Indian team is now without a sponsor, a site which has not been seen often.
Team India to play Asia Cup 2025 without title sponsors: Reports
With only a few days remaining for the continental tournament, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday, September 2 addressed on the same in order to fill in the vacant title sponsorship deal. The BCCI has finally released an “Invitation to Tender”, calling for companies to submit their expressions of interest for the team’s sponsorship rights.
However, the BCCI has been quick to act on it, the interested firms can purchase the ITT until September 12 with the final bids due by September 16. As a result, with the Asia Cup starting September 9, Team India is set to go without title sponsors, first time in a non-ICC tournament.
Speaking of the Indian team, the Men in Blue are set to depart for the UAE on September 4. They have been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, UAE and Oman and will kickstart their campaign on September 10 in Dubai.
