The game between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Gujarat Titans will be one belter of a game with both teams fighting for a spot at the top of the table. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have climbed the ladder
to the top of the table, bringing down the Sunrisers Hyderabad to second place. The Net Run Rate will indeed be crucial in the context of the playoffs as it could be the differentiating point. It's the business end of the IPL and there is very little margin for error here. Both teams are comfortably placed in the top 4 of the table but they would do everything in their might for a top 2 finish.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad will be coming off a solid victory against the Punjab Kings and they will be high on confidence with just one loss in the last 5 games. On the other hand, the home side, Gujarat Titans are on a winning streak of 4 games and they recently got the better off the Rajasthan Royals as well. With the game being held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the wicket will be more of a balanced one and here are the top 5 players who could be game-changers in tomorrow’s game:
5 players who could become game-changers in GT vs SRH
5) Mohammed Siraj
The Indian pacer has been absolutely clinical with the new ball and his ability to produce wickets at the beginning is simply extraordinary. He wasn’t at his best in the start of the season but he seemed to have found his form in the middle. In the previous game against the Rajasthan Royals, he picked the big wicket of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and it’s a rarity that the teen sensation was dismissed that early in the game. The pacers could very well be in the game considering the nature of the pitch and dimensions of the ground.
4) Kagiso Rabada
The South African pacer will require no introduction for his performance in this season as he has been exceptional with the new ball alongside Mohammed Siraj. He has been able to channel his raw pace with his discipline in lengths and has been a threat to the opposition at the start of the game. In the previous game against the Rajasthan Royals, he picked the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel in the powerplay to disrupt the momentum of their batting unit.
3) Heinrich Klaasen
Heinrich Klaasen has been the most reliable middle-order batter in this edition of the tournament as he has been able to score runs at almost any situation. He holds the Orange Cap at the moment with 494 runs to his name from 11 innings. With the kind of approach the SRH batting unit has, the batting collapses are bound to happen and they are saved by Klaasen. He will have a massive role to play tomorrow as it would be difficult for the openers to get through Mohammed Siraj and Kagiso Rabada. He could very well be the man for the occasion for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
2)Eshan Malinga
The Sri Lankan pacer has arguably been one of the most prominent overseas pacers in this IPL as he has been able to tighten the flow of runs and break crucial partnerships. SRH have struggled for form with the ball in the early part of the tournament but Eshan has been one of their consistent bowlers. In the last game, he picked the wicket of the PBKS skipper, Shreyas Iyer and we all know the damage he can cause. He is a fine bowler and he can utilize the conditions with the long boundaries at Ahmedabad.
1)Shubman Gill
The Gujarat Titans skipper will need no introduction as the experts consider that the Narendra Modi Stadium is his favourite hunting ground. He has scored over 1,000 IPL runs at the venue along with a couple of centuries to his name as well. He has scored 3 IPL centuries and 6 half-centuries in 29 IPL matches here, with a stunning average above 50. He will hold the key for the success of the home side as he has accumulated a large portion of the runs scored by the Titans in this edition of the IPL.
