India’s young batting sensation Abhishek Sharma has revealed the qualities he would like to pick from some of cricket’s biggest legends, naming several iconic players before giving a special answer for Virat
Kohli.
In an interview ahead of the second T20 International against the West Indies in Ranchi, Abhishek was asked to choose one particular trait he would like to adopt from legendary cricketers. Abhishek picked Chris Gayle’s ability to play all three formats of the game, while he chose celebrations when it came to Dwayne Bravo. When asked about Kieron Pollard, Abhishek opted for power, reflecting the West Indian star’s reputation as one of the most destructive hitters in T20 cricket. From former India captain MS Dhoni, he picked the ability to finish games, while Sunil Narine’s bowling economy was the trait that caught his attention.
Abhishek also named Andre Russell’s complete all-round ability as something he would like to have in his game. For Rohit Sharma, the Indian youngster chose timing, recognising the effortless stroke-making that has made the veteran opener one of the most accomplished batters in modern cricket.
