It is that time of the year where Women’s Premier League 2026 is set to take the center stage. The WPL will start on January 9 with the first match between Royal Challengers Benglauru and Mumbai Indians
at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. There will be an opening ceremony in Navi Mumbai and there will be a nice mix of cricket and entertainment with plenty of stars expected to perform in the opening ceremony. She is a Bollywood star and is known for her energetic dance and screen presence. Together, their performances will light up the opening night of the WPL with world-class entertainment which will be followed by some high-octane cricket as Harmanpreet Kaur led Mumbai Indians will face off against Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The WPL this season will take place from January 9 to February 5 across Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. Five franchises Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz will battle it out in a double round-robin format, with the table-toppers earning a direct berth in the final. The teams finishing second and third face off in the Eliminator on February 3 and the winner of that match will play the Final against table toppers on February 5.
