Just days ahead of the upcoming Men’s Asia Cup, the Indian cricket team have been handed a massive setback as their title sponsor - Dream11 withdrew from the deal following the passing of the Promotion
and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025. With the central government possing a ban on real-money gaming platforms under the new bill, Dream11 had no option but to make an exit from the role.
However, the gaming platform had a year left in the deal, which has been active since 2023, the sudden decision from the government has now opened doors for other brands and platforms to join in.
