Ahead of the all-important T20 World Cup Final between India and New Zealand, the picture of MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma holding the trophy together and getting it into the ground went viral on the internet.
MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma - India’s two successful captains, who have won 2007 and 2024 T20 World Cups for India - took the limelight. The duo is well regarded and respected in the cricketing fraternity.
MS Dhoni came to Ahmedabad in the early hours of 8 March, while Rohit Sharma came later in the day along with his wife Ritika. 
The duo will be seen in action in a few days time with the 2026 IPL set to begin on the 28 March 2026. MS Dhoni will be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings while Rohit Sharma will be seen in action for Mumbai Indians.
Earlier in the day, New Zealand skipper Mitchell Santner won the toss and chose to bowl first. In the all important final, the men-in-blue are going with same playing 11 as of semi-final clash vs England.
