The Men in Blue, who will be led by Suryakumar Yadav, will kickstart their campaign against UAE in Dubai on September 10.
India to play Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025, confirms BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia
The highly-anticipated India versus Pakistan clash is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai, the conundrum around it continues. This comes after the India Champions refrained from playing Pakistan at the second edition of the World Championship of Legends in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attacks. But recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devajit Saikia shared a big update around the same, while confirming India’s participation in all matches.
Speaking to PTI, Saikia said, “As far as the BCCI's view is concerned, we have to follow whatever the central government formalises. Recently, our policy, which is in place, regarding India's participation in any multinational tournament or international tournament, there is no restrictions imposed by the central government whether we play any of the countries which are not on good terms with India. So India have to play all the matches in any multinational tournament.”
