Team India are all set to begin their three-match ODI series against the West Indies, with the first one-day international scheduled to be played on September 27 at the Greenfield International Stadium
in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. A day before the much-awaited contest, Virat Kohli gave a glimpse of his preparation and intent during an intense net session.
Kohli was seen taking on two of India’s premier spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja during the practice session. The former India captain looked in excellent touch as he attacked the spinners and played shots all around the ground.

With the ODI opener just around the corner, Kohli’s aggressive approach during the nets caught plenty of attention by fans and media. Both Kuldeep and Jadeja were seen bowling to the batter, but Kohli appeared unfazed by the challenge.
The right-hander repeatedly found the gaps and struck the ball with authority, showing a clear intent to dominate the bowling attack. His ability to take on spin will be particularly important in the ODI series, with the West Indies expected to test India’s batters through the middle overs.

It will be interesting to see which which combination does the Indian team step onto the field. If Mohammad Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja get a chance, this series will act as an opportunity to see whether they can seal the spot for 2027 ODI World Cup.
Further, Virat Kohli will try to score 100 in at least one of the three ODIs against West Indies and get nearer to the record of great master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
