Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter, Rishabh Pant has been ruled out of the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 due to an injury. The 27-year-old, who was seen in prolific form in the five-match Test series against England
in July-August, missed the final match after he suffered a toe fracture in the fourth Test in Manchester. However, he walked out to bat in both innings, but was eventually ruled out of the side with N Jagadeesan being named as his replacement.
While he sits out, recovering from the toe injury, Rishabh Pant recently shared an update on the same. Taking to his Instagram story, the wicketkeeper-batter shared a picture of his bandaged foot, writing, “How many days in this?” He seemed eagerly awaiting for his return to the field.

While he sits on the sidelines, this wasn’t the first time Pant posted such a story since being out. He had earlier shared the same frustration while sharing his recovery journey, writing, “I hate this sooo much”. During his injury layoff, Pant has however, managed to stay upbeat. He also shared a video of making pizzas at home.
While the doctors have confirmed that a surgery is not required, his fitness will be assessed in the coming weeks. Although, Pant will miss the continental tournament - the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, where Indian will begin their campaign against the UAE on September 10, he also remains doubtful for the home Test series against West Indies, set to be held in October.
