In the last couple of years, Shreyas Iyer ended up winning the Irani Cup, Duleep Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as captain in the 2023-24 domestic. Apart from that, Iyer also led Kolkata Knight Riders to the IPL title in 2024 and was also a part of the Indian squad that won the Champions Trophy in 2025. In his recent podcast with Quest Talk on IQOO India, Shreyas Iyer revealed that winning the 2025 Champions Trophy with India was the most precious moment for him on the cricket field. This was also Iyer’s first ICC title as a player and he finished as India’s top scorer in that edition. “Winning the ICC Championship for India, in Champions Trophy. I think that was the best feeling ever," Iyer said.
Shreyas Iyer played a crucial role in India’s Champions Trophy triumph this years where he finished as the second highest run scorer of the season. He amassed 243 runs in five matches in that edition at an average of 48.60. He also scored half-centuries in league matches against Pakistan and New Zealand respectively.
