Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan had a hilarious take on teammate Abhishek Sharma’s century celebration. Sharma came up with his fourth T20I hundred during the third match against New Zealand in Wellington
on Tuesday. Sharma, who has emerged as one of the most attacking batters in the shortest format, was once again in destructive form and reached the three-figure mark in just 35 deliveries.
Sharma also built a 133-run opening-wicket stand off 43 deliveries with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was promoted up in the batting order. Moreover, the two went on to establish a new powerplay score record with 118 runs. Abhishek’s innings made the 199-run chase a walk in the park. However, the highlight was his 35-ball century and the celebration that he pulled off to mark the milestone.
The batter hit his new favourite ‘meditation pose’ as his way to thank the almighty for the same. He was also caught saying ‘Om Namah Shivaay’ during the same. Needless to say, it went viral on social media and fans have been liking the new celebration of the young batter, who has emerged as the new batting power of the Men in Blue.

Ishan Kishan shares hilarious take on Abhishek Sharma’s celebration
While the internet came up with its own theories, his friend and teammate Ishan Kishan had a hilarious take. Ishan shared a video Instagram story from the team bus after the game, and was heard saying, “Dusro ki mental health kharab karke khud meditation karta hai” (“He meditates after ruining others’ mental health.”) Abhishek didn’t reply to it, but pointed upwards, signalling for the almighty.
The hilarious story shared by Kishan went viral on social media within no time. As of the wicketkeeper-batter himself, he was out for the second consecutive game after suffering a low-grade right adductor strain in the opening T20I of the series. He has been replaced by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the playing XI. The youngster, after failing to make a mark in the second game, announced his arrival and smashed a 19-ball 45 in Tuesday’s game.
