Pakistan’s Saim Ayub appeared to take a cheeky dig at India youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after dismissing him during the India vs Pakistan clash, but Abhishek Sharma ensured that the celebration did
not last long.
India opted to bat first and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided a quick start at the top of the order. The young batter scored 15 runs off just nine balls, smashing two sixes, before being dismissed by Saim Ayub.
After completing the dismissal, Ayub appeared to celebrate by making a gesture suggesting that Sooryavanshi was still a ‘baby’. The moment quickly grabbed attention, particularly given the intense rivalry between India and Pakistan.
However, Ayub’s celebration was followed by a brutal response from Abhishek Sharma.
The Indian opener took on Ayub in the very next phase of the innings and smashed him for three consecutive boundaries. Abhishek first hit a six, followed it up with another maximum and then finished the sequence with a four.
