Former Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Kamran Akmal feels that the Men in Green can stun Team Indiain the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 contest to be played in Dubai on September 14. Both India and Pakistan are
in Group A of the continental tournament and they will look to play quality cricket against each other to gear up for the Super 4 round, which is expected to be tough. Pakistan are yet to play their opening match in the tournament while the Men in Blue have begun their campaign extraordinarily with a comfortable nine-wicket win against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Ahead of the high-voltage game in Dubai, Kamran has issued a warning to the defending champions as he feels Pakistancan win the big game if they go into the contest with a solid plan. “It will be a pressure game for both sides. Many of the young players will be playing against each other for the first time. Our team has recently won the tri-series. The confidence from winning the series should benefit Pakistan. Pakistan can surprise India if they come up with a good game plan and Playing XI,” said Kamran to ARY News.
Pakistan have an upper hand over India in T20Is played in Dubai
At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Team India and Pakistan have played three matches in which two have been won by Pakistan. In 2021, when the two teams played against each other, Pakistan hammered the Men in Blue by 10 wickets. After 10 months, when both teams met each other in the Asia Cup 2022 group match, India bagged a five-wicket win.
In the same tournament, when both sides were against each other in the Super 4 round, the Men in Green stood tall and chased down a total of 182 to bag a five-wicket win. However, following that defeat, India have won two consecutive games and are expected to pose a tough challenge for the T20 World Cup 2009 champions.
