Days after Dream11’s exit from the title jersey sponsorship of the Indian cricket team following the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025 last month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
announced Apollo Tyres as the new jersey sponsor. On Tuesday, September 16, the BCCI confirmed Apollo Tyres as the new title sponsor of the team.
Earlier this month, BCCI opened an invitation to acquire the title jersey sponsor rights, and had set September 12 as the deadline day for the invitation. As said, on September 16, the BCCI finally revealed Apollo Tyres as the title sponsor, which will remain until 2027.
Apollo Tyres to remain title sponsors until 2027 with INR 4.5 Cr per game
According to reports, Apollo Tyres will be shelling out approximately INR 4.5 Crore per game, significantly up from INR 4 Crore previous sponsors in Dream11. During their tenure, which runs until 2027, Team India is set to play atleast 130 fixtures, which includes two World Cups.
Furthermore, reports citing TOI have also cited that Canva and JK Tyre were other two bidders, who were also on the table. Birla Opus Paints also showed interest to invest but didn’t participate in the bidding process.
