Indian T20I player Hardik Pandya has made his Instagram comeback after being absent from the platform for four months and makes his comeback post busy with rehabilitation and shifting his base to the BCCI
CoE in Bengaluru. The cricketer has shared a variety of pictures from a fashion event featuring him with the model and his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma. He kept the caption light, saying, “been offline but I’ve never been more alive 🧿.” The post has been liked by many, and the comments section is also full of supportive messages from fans who liked the post.
The return of Pandya to the platform comes after a tough time for him. His Instagram account was temporarily deleted and re-activated later in May, after Mumbai Indians’ disappointing performance in IPL 2026 matches where the team was ranked at ninth position by winning four matches out of fourteen in the league. Also personally, the cricketer scored 146 runs and took three wickets in eight innings during that season. Therefore, Pandya’s Instagram return becomes important after months of staying away from the platform while continuing recovery from injury.
“North pole and south pole”: Ashish Nehra compeares Indian skipper Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya
Gujarat Titans coach Ashish Nehra has offered an interesting comparison between Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya, saying the two captains are almost complete opposites. Nehra worked closely with Pandya at Gujarat Titans when they won the IPL in 2022, while Gill later took over as GT captain after Pandya left. Nehra believes Gill is still learning the job and will improve with more experience. “They are very, very different. You are talking about the north pole and south pole,” Nehra said. “Both of them were not somebody who has done much captaincy, but you learn on your way forward, and suddenly somebody is pretty much doing captaincy for India in two formats. He is only going to get better.”
Nehra also explained how differently the two communicate with their coach. “One thing is for sure: he (Pandya) completely trusted me, which was the perfect, perfect thing. He will always be keen to learn. He will always ask if something doesn’t go right or doesn’t go well. He is somebody you can have lots of conversations with.” On Gill, he said, “The other way around, Shubman is a little reserved, a little shy, but that’s okay. Everyone is different. There is no right or wrong. He (Gill) is someone who will not talk or have as many conversations as Hardik Pandya, but he is to the point. He is somebody who is very keen to learn and keen to observe.” Nehra added that Gill is still “a work in progress” and has only had one or two seasons of captaincy experience.
