Standing at backward square leg, Holder took a "blinder" to end Patidar’s innings. The RCB skipper departed for 19 runs off 15 balls, including two fours and one six.
However, the legitimacy of the catch became a point of conflict as a question arose whether Jason Holder grounded the ball while completing the diving catch at deep backward point. Virat Kohli was absolutely livid following the third umpire's decision to uphold the catch against Rajat Patidar. Rajat Patidar made his intent clear from the start of the 8th over, welcoming Arshad Khan with a massive six into the mid-wicket stands. Patidar picked up a length ball and deposited it over mid-wicket for a MAXIMUM to open the 8th over. Arshad responded with a pacy 140.1 kph bouncer that Patidar had to duck under.
The contest between Rajat Patidar and Arshad Khan served as a classic battle between Madhya Pradesh teammates. Both players are key figures in the MP domestic circuit and have shared the locker room for years.
