The United Arab Emirates (UAE) head coach Lalchand Rajput has warned Team Indiaahead of their maiden Asia Cup 2025 contest on September 10. In the recently-concluded tri-series against Pakistan and Afghanistan,
the UAE gave stiff competition to both teams. In their final match of the series against the Afghan side, the UAE looked impressive while chasing 171. Riding on Muhammad Waseem’s 44 off 29, the UAE gave chills to Afghan bowlers and lost the game by only four runs. Noting this performance, the Men in Blue have to be wary of the Waseem-led side.
A couple of days ahead of their India assignment, UAE head coach Rajput showed confidence in his players and said that his side will play an aggressive brand of cricket. "I think our players are ready. Everybody wants to play against India. They were the champions in the last World Cup. But it is a good opportunity to play against India. In T20s the team that plays better on the given day will win. A single batter or bowler can win you the game. We will play fearless cricket. Our batting is strong, we have good spinners in our bowling unit. The players have experience of playing in the UAE," remarked Lalchand in his conversation with ANI.
