Cricket West Indies have officially announced the 15-member lineup for the upcoming Test series against India. The Caribbean side is scheduled to play two Test matches against India starting on October
2. The first match of the series will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from October 2 to October 6, while the second Test is scheduled to played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi from October 10 to 14.
Roston Chase has been appointed as captain of West Indies Test team while Jomel Warrican has been appointed as his deputy. Tagenarine Chanderpaul also made his return in the Windies squad. This will also be the first Test series for West Indies in the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle.
West Indies aim Test series win vs India after 23 years
West Indies last won a Test series against India back in 2002. After that, there has been a dominant performance from the Indian team as they didn’t let the Windies side win a Test series against them for the last 23 years. Now, West Indies will look to pull off a miracle this time and end up winning a Test series against India.
Talking about the Indian team, the BCCI is yet to announce the squad for the upcoming Test series against West Indies. India last played their last Test series against England where they levelled the five-match series with the hosts by 2-2.
