As a result, the ACC Chairman reportedly took the trophy and the winners’ medals to his hotel room, denying the Indian team of the same. However, this did not make much of an impact as the players of the winning side, took to social media to share photoshopped pictures with the trophy, making mockery of the ACC President’s antics.
Sealing the victory moment, the members of the Indian team, including Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, among others were seen posing in images that had a trophy emoticon. Since they have gone, they are doing rounds on social media.
While the antics of Mohsin Naqvi did not hamper India’s winning moment, Suryakumar Yadav at the post-match presser also shared a strong message where he emphasised that the champions would be remembered and not the picture of the trophy.
