With the India vs Japan T20I scheduled for September 22, Sanju Samson and Washington Sundar were spotted enjoying the rainy weather in Tokyo. Sundar shared two pictures on Instagram featuring himself and Samson as the Indian stars took some time to relax before returning to cricketing action.
The Indian team completed a 3-0 series sweep against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, with the third T20I ending in a commanding 127-run victory for Shreyas Iyer’s side. The series also saw Abhishek Sharma smash a record-breaking century, while Samson made a valuable contribution at the top of the order.

The short break comes at an important stage of India’s schedule. The team has been involved in a busy run of T20 cricket and will now prepare for a unique international fixture against Japan before turning its attention towards the Asian Games 2026.
Rather than immediately focusing on another competitive game, players getting some time to unwind can provide a welcome change following the Afghanistan series.
