team asked him directly if his bat had an AI chip, the 15-year-old responded with a smile.
"Bhagwaan ne lagake diya hai. Upar hi bola tha bat me tumhare kuch lagake de ra hu, ussi ka istemaal kr ra hu."
(God has fitted it. He told me from above that he was putting something in my bat; I am just using that.)
The rumor was sparked by Dr. Nauman Niaz, a well-known Pakistani cricket analyst, following Sooryavanshi’s explosive 36-ball century against Sunrisers Hyderabad in April 2026. Niaz suggested that a 15-year-old having such brute force was "unreal" and "not human.".He jokingly compared the situation to WADA doping tests, saying Sooryavanshi should be "sent to a lab" to check if he had an AI chip embedded in his bat to track the ball and find gaps. Niaz argued that a 15-year-old’s body typically lacks the rounded muscles, triceps, and biceps required for such a power game.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi officially crossed the 1,000-run mark in T20 cricket on April 25, 2026.
