innings of the match, Patidar ended up scoring a hundred as Central Zone are looking in strong position in the match. Along with Patidar, Yash Rathod also reached the triple figure mark on day two of the match.
Talking about the match, batting first after losing the toss, South Zone were bowled out for 149 runs in the first innings. Tanmay Agarwal was a top scorer with 31(76) runs, while Salman Nizarand Ankit Sharma contributed with 24(52) and 20(64) respectively. For Central Zone, Saransh Jain registered figures of 5/49 while Kumar Kartikeya took four wickets by conceding 53 runs.

After South Zone were bowled out for 149 runs, Central Zone also got a good start as Danish Malewar and Akshay Wadkar added 55 runs for the first wicket. Wadkar got out after scoring 22(60) runs while Malewar scored a well-made 53(120) runs hitting five boundaries. After that, Central Zone kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 93/3. After that, skipper Rajat Patidar and Yash Rathod took charge of the innings.
Rajat Patidar completed his hundred in 112 deliveries and went on to play a captain’s knock of 101 runs off 115 balls hitting 12 fours and two sixes. This was fourth consecutive 50-plus score Patidar in the ongoing Duleep Trophy and second hundred in the ongoing competition. Along with him, Yash Rathod also completed his hundred in 132 balls and still batting at the crease for Central Zone as they look to take a big lead.
