Englandlegend Andrew Flintoff has stepped down as head coach of Northern Superchargers. Flintoff’s association with Supercharges started in 2024. Under his leadership, the team concluded their campaign
in the fourth spot in the fourth season. This year, Superchargers ended the tournament in the Eliminator round. This year, Northern Superchargers became the part of India’s media giant Sun Group, which owns the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 League.
Recently, the former England all-rounder appeared on the Beard Before Wicket podcast and said that after the ownership change, he felt undervalued. “I genuinely don’t do it for the money – although it’s nice – but I’m worth more than just over a quarter of the salary of other head coaches. We have new owners and I spoke to them and said: ‘Yeah, fine, make us an offer. I wasn’t encouraged they wanted me anyway, and you want to feel valued. So I said that it’s not going to work for me and they weren’t going to move on it. So, unfortunately, I’m not going to do it, which is sad,” saidAndrew Flintoff.

I wasn’t expecting that.” After leaving the Superchargers’ camp, Flintoff might be seen coaching any other team in the 100-ball competition.
