It has been only a few days since Founder and Former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi shared unseen footage of the infamous slap-gate incident from the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League. Speaking with
former Australia cricketer Michael Clarke in his Beyond23 podcast, Modi opened up on the incident and also shared new videos of the moment, which has been talked about now for over 18 years.
While the video has got mixed reactions, former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh has once again opened up on the same. While the former spinner accepted his mistake, which he has done time and again, he was in sync with S Sreesanth’s wife - Bhuvneshwari for making the video public.

Speaking in the video shared by Instant Bollywood, Harbhajan Singh said, "Video Viral hui hai. Itna unfortunate incident hai, jiske baare mein main kahi manch pe bol chuka hoon ki mujhse galti hui hai. Galtiyan hoti hai insaan se, aur mere se bhi galti hui thi aur us galti ko har stage pe bola hai. Aaj bappa ke paas aaya hoon, unse bhi kaha ki mujhse koi galti hui hai aur aage bhi hogi toh, hum toh bhoolne waalon mein se hai. Tum bakshne waalon mein se ho. Hume bakshna. Insaan hai. Galtiyan hoti rehti hai."

Not only this is the first time that Bhajji, as he is fondly called, have apologised of the incident, but he also went on to slam for the way the video was made public. “ Lekin jis tarah se video bahar nikaala gaya hai, that's very wrong,” he began. The 103-Test veteran also suspected a selfish motive by Lalit Modi behind this move as he continued, “Kisi bhi tareeke ki nahin karni chahiye thi, shayad usme unka koi selfish motive hoga. Jo baat 18 saal pehle hui hai, usko log bhool chuke hain. aur dobaara usko yaad karwa rahe hain.”While Bhajji spoke for the first time after the re-release of the video, S Sreesanth have remained numb about the same despite multiple apologies being made by his former Indian teammate.
