With the talks around The Hundred now over for a while, the key performers from the season will definitely grab some attention as the prestigious franchise league - Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to hold a mini-auction, reportedly in December this year for the next edition, which will be played in 2026. 1. Jordan Cox
The English wicketkeeper-batter, Jordan Cox was a key performer for the 2025 champions. The 24-year-old, who was last seen playing for England in November 2024 in an ODI match against West Indies, finished as the top run-getter in The Hundred 2025, amassing 327 runs from eight innings. While he hasn’t played in the Indian Premier League so far, but with Reliance Industries Limited-owned Mumbai Indians (MI) acquiring a considerable stake in The Hundred franchise, he could be seen playing in the IPL with them. Apart from MI, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) could also make a bid for the English wicketkeeper-batter with MS Dhoni aging like a fine wine now.
2. Josh Tongue
The 27-year-old England pacer Josh Tongue also stood out in The Hundred 2025 men’s tournament. The right-arm fast-medium, who played for Manchester Originals, finished as the hightest wicket-taker with 14 scalps off 115 balls during the month-long tournament. Tongue, who is yet to play in the IPL, if gets registered in the auction ahead of 2026 season, might get bids from top teams, who are looking to acquire the services of a pacer.
3. Jonny Bairstow
The English wicketkeeper-batter, who has played for Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL so far, could once again make a comeback in the cash-rich league on the back of his performance in the recently-concluded The Hundred 2025. The 35-year-old, who remains active cricketer, playing various franchise leagues around the world, finished as the fourth-highest run-getter, scoring 248 runs in eight innings. While he did register for the mega auction, but went unsold. However, after Ryan Rickelton failed to make a return due to national commitments, the five-time champions, MI roped in Bairstow, where he scored 85 runs in two playoffs matches at a strike rate of 184.78.
