While their were verbal altercations on the field, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf was one of the key cricketers, who was amid the heat of the moment, apart from his verbal spat with Abhishek Sharma.

During the India innings as they were chasing the 172-run target, Haris Rauf, who was positioned near the boundary was welcomed by ‘Kohli, Kohli’ chants. While it isn’t just once that fans taunted Rauf, but they repeated the chants as the Pakistan pacer was patrolling near the boundary. However, the exact reason behind ‘Kohli, Kohli’ chants is not known, but it came after the Indian stalwart hit Rauf for back-to-back sixes in 2022 T20 World Cup in Melbourne.

After repeated gestures from the fans, Rauf could not keep silent and replied with a controversial move. The Pakistan pacer first brushed off his ear, signaling indifference, he later gestured provocatively, mimicking a fighter jet, video of which has been doing rounds on social media. Several have speculated that the remarks were a taunt at Operation Sindoor, which the Indian Armed Forces carried out after the Pahalgam terror attacks in April 2025.
