Sanju Samson came into this tournament in sublime form but has not been able to get to the double digits in the first three matches of the season. His scores this season read 6,7 and 9 which is way below par. Ahead of IPL 2026, Samson was traded from Rajasthan Royals in exchange with Jadeja and Sam Curran. Unfortunately, Samson has failed to deliver for the Men in Yellow and there is plenty of disappointment among fans.

Chennai Super Kings were set a massive target of 250 by Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the stage was set for Sanju Samson to perform for his side but he could not do it as he was dismissed by Jacob Duffy for nine runs. He smashed a six but got out immediately as CSK were in all sorts of trouble at 30/3 with Samson getting dismissed.

It has been a disappointing start for Chennai Super Kings in this edition having lost the opening two matches against RR and PBKS. Samson has got out to single digit scores in all the games and they are in trouble chasing a target of 250 against RCB. Another loss here would put the Chennai Super Kings in further trouble as they go forward in the tournament.
